what is Aromatherapy?

Imagine walking into a day spa, as you enter you inhale all those delightful smells. Your mood changes instantly, you feel the stress of the day melt away. You have now experienced the magical powers of Aromatherapy.

Essential Oils have being used for therapeutic purposes for approximately 6,000 years. The art and science of Aromatherapy can be defined as utilising naturally extrated aromatic essences from plants to balance, harmonise and promote wellbeing and good heath.

Aromatherapy encompasses human pathology and the treatments of different conditions both emotional and physical with essential oils. As Aromatherapy practice developed it adopted a wholistic approach which encompassed body, mind and spirit and assists to balance the body’s energy systems

As a wholistic practice, Aromatherapy is both a preventative approach as well as an active method to employ during acute and chronic stages of illness or disease.
